Opera Concert on the Civic Center Concourse

In San Diego and have free hours during lunch time on Thursday (Jan 29th)? Pack a picnic lunch and cycle down to San Diego Civic Center Concourse (where City Hall and the Civic Theater are) to catch Opera on the Concourse!

It's a free concert given by local voice students and artists. There are three free concourse concerts scheduled this opera season:
  • La bohème: Thursday, January 29, 2015, Noon
    Featuring Opera Exposed/University Partners Artists

  • Don Giovanni: Thursday, February 19, 2015, Noon
    Featuring Don Giovanni Artists

  • Nixon in China: Thursday, March 19, 2015, Noon
    Featuring Nixon in China Artists

Merci, Yvette! :o) My friend and I had a good time. There was a performance that evening, so the opera's cast members didn't sing, but the local colleges' voice students did great. Two of them were really impressive, even. I wouldn't be surprised to see them on big opera stages a few years down the road.
