Smorging Around San Diego Zoo

San Diego has one of the best zoos on the planet, though it had been a long while since I last visited the place. It took an animal-loving visitor from out of town to round my roommate and me up to give the zoo a raid last weekend while the hard working rain clouds were taking a break from their watering duty.

We walked our legs off and still covered less than half the zoo in a day. We stayed mostly on the front half of it.... even though we got a good look all around thanks to the excellently guided bus tour. Will have to post more on the trip later, but you can get a good glimpse via the video, I think.

ahhh mister Smorg, what a lovely video! love the music too, very a doc... when i was living in Hillcrest and getting visitors all the time i got a zoo subscription for a year, or two? i was there all the time, but i haven't been back in a while and you are right, it's a LONG walk, unlike you, i never ride the bus, hey!! you got my favorite oones, the polar bears!! those guys are sooo much fun, they remind me of Herr Gato when he's playing with his toys ;)

salutes from a finally less rainy and less cold Normal Heights!

Hi Smorgy,

What did you people do to the Polar Bear? The poor animal is brown not white!

You should try to find out if there is an interview with him available: I would like to know what he thinks about living in steaming SD.

Meanwhile
cheers
