I've been running around town(s) a lot lately, so much so that I'm making both me and my camera dizzy. We're having a serious case of the double vision...
chirping twins on a hiking trail |
It started one day on a hiking trail when I heard chirping from an unexpected direction. The sight so surprised my hiking companion that he went to check his vision at a nearby fountain...
But of course, there was nothing wrong with his eye sight.

True to form, the rhinos were already done and resting while the tortoises were still grinding their way through it. |
The local critters are really enthusiastically sharing their enjoyment of life in mild-weathered Southern California and are no longer observing the 'wait until the spring' rule.
September in Southern California is, indeed, a happy month...

Sorry for no writing you for a while. I've been very busy with university. I hope you are well. Just wish you a great autumn. Here, we have a warm weather still.
Take care,
WF
Ciao WF! Thanks very much for stopping by even when you're busy. :oD I'm guilty of not getting around much on the net these days myself. Been out of town a lot and can't seem to catch back up.
Autumn has started beautifully here, I think. We're expecting a bit of a heatwave the next few days, but nothing as steamy as the last one we had before that big power outage a few weeks ago. I hope autumn has started well your way, too, and that university is being fun! :oD
Best and cheeriest wishes from Southern California!
What are those tiny birds, Smorgy? They are beautiful.
Strangely we are also expecting a heat wave over the next few days - and I have to spend hours driving on a motorway :(
Hiya Eyes:
I think they're just the local young sparrows, really. Though they could also be young towhees. Not sure. :o) One was limping a bit, and the other was sort of looking after him. They chirped like there was no tomorrow, but the healthy one refused to leave the limping one.
Hope your heatwave is a short one and that the driving goes smoothly, too! Going to do concert in a different town? :o)
Aaahhhh!
The heat wave is quite welcome actually as the autumn colours are gorgeous and the air has a different taste.
No concert unfortunately but a workshop hundreds of miles away and a lousy public transport system. Still - I get to listen to radio 3 for hours :)
