Wild things...

There's a trade off to just about everything in life, I'm afraid. For the convenience of living in the city, I have to ride 30+ miles over at least a mountain to get to see some wild animals...

Whereas Pam Aus in Alaska doesn't even have to get out of her house to spot some really cool beasts!

but rewarding!

At the end of the your ride was it a case of "Mum's home -where's dinner??"
Thanks for linking Mrs Eagle & Gismo although I can't help thinking that she was eyeing the cat up for a little snack!

By the way thank you for following Ducks To Watch Out For!

Bonjour Yvette: It's worth the ride indeed! Though the getting up by 3:40am to catch the express bus to Escondido really gets old rather quickly. It's the downside of not having a car. :oP The exercise is good for me, though. I get pudgy rather quickly after a few no cycling days! :o)

Hiya Sarah: My pleasure (about following ducks!)! :oD Yup, I suspect Mrs Eagle's gaze toward suitcase and Gizmo is a bit intense for casual friendship. I'm surprised she lets Pam get so close without flying off!

Oh, the neighbor's two cats do seem to mistake me for a lot of things. Luckily I haven't tried to feed them yet, though. To be honest, Casey the black cat can use a good and strict diet program. When I first moved in I thought she was pregnant and about to bestow a bunch of cute and cuddly kittens on us. Alas, it's been 6 months and she's just as large as before... with no sign of young kitties... :oP

Carrie, the weirdly long and furry cat, is a weirdo... She doesn't really camp out in front of my door like Casey does, but whenever she sees me with her inky sister she'd head right over and headbutt her way in for a petting. They never fight, though. If I only have one hand free for petting they'd just try to lick the other right out of the way. It's sort of cute. ;o)

Hey Soren: It's hard to tell, though I think they're probably a pair of turkey vultures. There are quite a few of those hanging around the cattle fields. I was hoping to run into some kestrels but they were in hiding or something. :oD
