Ranting is tiring work and addictive work. It's so easy to rant about things you aren't content with while forgetting to balance it with noticing the good things in life. With the news being so dominated by coverage of misbehavior it is too easy to start expecting the worst of your normal-looking neighbors. So I've been making it a point to catch the ABC news show 'What Would You Do?' every Friday night.
This show stages socially touchy situations in real life setting and tape how unsuspecting people react via hidden camera.

Much of the time real people really do the right thing when presented with the chance.Of course, sometimes they don't, and the fact that that is shown as well in this show is why I'm a loyal watcher.

I have total admiration for this ABC programme done this way. This is direct democracy and I hope to see this type of social insights here... but there is hardly any hope ... at the moment. Thank you Smorgy for sharing these. Have a nice week-end!
What a remarkable show. I wish we had something like it - we only have hidden cameras with jokey, trivia.
You have a good weekend too, Smorgy
Hiya Yvette & Eyes!
It is a good show indeed. :oD We have a lot of the Candid Camera type shows here, too, that usually just set people up for a joke, so I was quite happy when I came across this show one evening. It asks pretty good questions, and how people react to the show is as interesting as what's shown on it. A lot of people find it easy to snicker at people who are caught on camera not doing the right thing, though sometimes that is more understandable than the others. :o)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you both are having an excellent weekend, too! Watching the British Open or the Tour de France? :oD
