Friday the 14th...

It's shaping up to be a rather horrible day... much less for me than for the parents and loved ones of those little kids and their teachers massacred by another gun toting youngster in yet another American school.

Not just another American school... Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, CT.

I was following the news all day, because I come from the next town over. Sandy Hook Elementary is the pokiest little school imaginable, you would hardly notice it if you tripped over it. Will those kids will be heading for the morgue of the hospital most of them were born in? Probably. Unbelievable.

Horribly chilling to read the extensive list in the link you provide. Would it improve if the gun laws were changed do you think?

Hiya Stray & Eyes: Indeed. And more so because this sort of thing seems so common now. What sort of society would accept this as 'that the way it is' anyhow? I keep reading thoughts like that from people who seem horrified at the thought of not being able to buy any sort of guns and ammo they want without having good reason for it.

A few fb friends of mine are gun lovers and are posting all sorts of pro-gun things on that site that are downright disgusting (one actually portrays himself as heroic for choosing to carry concealed loaded gun in order to 'protect others', unlike the wimps that haven't the guts to arm ourselves). All those little kids shot dead... just the way it is because some insecure dudes with the Heman fantasy want to be able to buy 'any' gun they want... even if some become easily accessible to kids like this shooter (and the others mass-shooters).

I respect free speech, but some people are really a**h*les.
