The devil's trick is to give the illusion that the majority of people supports him.
This is most easily done on the internet, where one can assume the identity of many, where a few with a lot of time and inclination can post/comment repeatedly to flood fora like Nextdoor or Facebook, etc, and drown out the true majority who have a lot going on in real life to tend to and can't spend hours shouting down everyone else on the internet.
But these people are not the majority. That is what all these protests that they would like to downplay as 'meaningless' actually show. The turn outs to them has been huge and getting bigger; not just in big cities, but even in small and 'red' towns.
Don't let online fora suck you into the delusionary rabbit holes. Go outside and interact with real life and real people. Keep things in perspectives.

Hai Smorgy, in the states you are living in interesting times. Would like to be there as a spectator.

Hallo Georgy! It's a rather disturbing interesting time we are living in. I'm afraid we aren't such a safe place for visiting nowadays (not that we were that safe a place before... with all the random mass shootings and stuff). I'm afraid it's going to get worse before it gets better.
Hope things are better where you are!
